One of my students comes from a family [where no family member] has ever gone to college. They have eight children, and her expectation was pretty low. After a lesson about financial planning, you could see the light bulb go on! Her eyes lit up. She asked several questions and we did multiple scenarios to show her how she could dream bigger and accomplish goals. Since then, she has spoken with me about goals, and I reassured her that she was on the right path. I'm excited to see what she completes in her life!
