Update on HSFPP Curriculum

Our communities have faced unprecedented challenges over the past months. While we have been forecasting a new release of the NEFE High School Financial Planning Program® (HSFPP) for some time, we are announcing that there will not be an update to the curriculum.

But our commitment remains strong. As you plan, and revise your plans, for the upcoming school year, know that you can continue to count on NEFE to support you in your teaching. The current edition of the HSFPP is noncommercial and free, and we are committed to provide these educational materials in the near term, regardless of the digital divide. The HSFPP is still available online and in print. Submit your classroom orders today.

The National Endowment for Financial Education® (NEFE®) champions effective financial education. As an organization, we are growing and evolving.

Since 1984 we have provided a free, noncommercial and evidence-based curriculum for high school teachers nationwide. We are proud of our legacy supporting passionate educators such as yourself across four decades. Yet the financial education space has changed over the past 30 years, and it’s no longer difficult to find effective resources and we are no longer the only ones providing them.

We are excited for the moves we are making to contribute to the financial well-being movement in new and innovative ways with a focus on research that documents the benefits of financial education, providing rigorous evaluation of resources, and informing providers about the ecosystem that impacts financial well-being beyond education. For more on the forward-looking direction of NEFE, read our philosophy and updated mission and vision.
